How the Superscan inspects the surface of a panel.
The decorative panel is constructed with layers of material. For example, the layers of the product in the video is comprised of overlay paper, decor paper, the panel board, and counter top paper. These layers are then pressed into a the product.
These panel run through edge paper trimmers that trims the paper overlapping the edges of the panel board. This process produces scraps of paper and dust that are vacuumed up with the surface cleaning process.
The surface insection is next. The Superscan scans the surface of the panel looking for any differences from the master image in the database. When an imperfection is detected, the Superscan marks the segment of the panel.
After the master panel is cut into segments, The panel segments that are marked are sorted out of the finished product prior to packaging.
