ABC Receivers contain a photo diode that responds to the signal emitted by the ABC Transmitter.

Interruption of this signal by excessive material is immediately recognized and displayed at the Control Console, alerting process personnel and indicating the location.

Dry relay contacts in the console can be used to activate shut down or diversion procedures at the affected location.

For high temperature applications, (over 140º F), fiber optic cables are used.
